HBRI Job Circular 2026 is out from the Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works. Posts, vacancies and pay scale

• Sub-Assistant Engineer (Grade 10) — 01 — Tk 32,000–75,300 — Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Computer Typist (Grade 16) — 01 — Tk 21,100–52,100 — HSC; typing 20 wpm Bangla and English
• Driver (Grade 16) — 01 — Tk 21,100–52,100 — Class 8 pass; valid light/heavy licence; 5 years’ experience
• Plumber (Grade 18) — 01 — Tk 21,200–50,100 — Class 8 pass; 3 years’ plumbing experience
• Office Assistant (Sohayok) (Grade 20) — 07 — Tk 20,000–48,400 — SSC or equivalent
• Security Guard (Grade 20) — 03 — Tk 20,000–48,400 — Class 8 pass; preference for retired defence personnel
• Cleaner (Grade 20) — 03 — Tk 20,000–48,400 — Class 8 pass; preference for professional cleaners

Total vacancies: 17. Office: 120/3 Darus-Salam, Mirpur, Dhaka.

Age limit and other conditions

• General candidates, small ethnic groups, and freedom fighters’ children/grandchildren: 18–32 years.
• Security Guard (serial 6): retired armed forces members may apply up to 40 years.
• Affidavits are not accepted as age proof.
• Must be a Bangladeshi citizen / permanent resident; must not be married (or promised) to a non-citizen.
• Recruitment follows the HBRI (Officers and Employees) Service Regulations, 2003.
• Serving government / semi-government / autonomous staff must apply through proper channel and tick Departmental Candidate.
• No TA/DA for exams. Authority may change vacancy numbers or cancel the notice. Lobbying cancels candidature.

How to apply

1. Open hbri.teletalk.com.bd and complete the online form.
2. Upload a colour photo (300×300 px, max 100 KB) and signature (300×80 px, max 60 KB).
3. After submit, check the Applicant’s Copy. Fix mistakes only before you pay the fee.
4. Pay the exam fee by Teletalk prepaid SMS within 72 hours using your User ID. Unpaid applications are not accepted.
5. Keep a colour print of the Applicant’s Copy for viva / practical.

Application fees (non-refundable)

• Serial 1 (Sub-Assistant Engineer): Tk 223 (200 + 23 service charge)
• Serials 2–3 (Computer Typist, Driver): Tk 112 (100 + 12)
• Serials 4–7 (Plumber, Office Assistant, Security Guard, Cleaner): Tk 56 (50 + 6)

Admit card and documents for viva / practical

Exam schedule and results go by SMS and on www.hbri.gov.bd. Download a colour admit card from the apply site. Bring originals plus attested copies of:

• Printed Applicant’s Copy and two passport photos
• All academic certificates
• NOC (if employed in government / autonomous body)
• Permanent residency certificate from local Chairman / Mayor / Ward Councillor
• NID or birth certificate
• Character certificate from a Grade-1 gazetted officer
• Quota papers if applicable
